Hungerford for seven months as I understood and now believe he marched to Fort Ticonderoga - this was in 1775 - I know he was absent for several months and that it was understood and believed that he was in the service as aforesaid. I recalled seeing him shortly after his return sick of the fever and ague which I think in the fall but what month I cannot say.
I further depose and say that I am knowing that he enlisted in 1776 in Capt. Nathan Hurd’s Company in Col. Silliman’s regiment for six months. I was myself a soldier in the same Company and for the same term and know that the said Walker served the full term of his engagement. I saw the said Walker in the service at Peekskill N. Y. in 1777 in the militia about the time of the burning of Sopes. I was out with the said Walker in 1779 at the time of the burning of Norwalk. I think we were out about three weeks that time.
