Biography

Elizabt, daughter of Joseph Walker & Sarah, was born on 13 December 1677 in Billerica, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1]

Elizabeth married Samuel Fitch on 20 March 1696 in Billerica, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2] [3]

Elizabeth died on 26 November 1716 in Billerica, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [4] [5]

From Fitch Genealogy, Pg. 8:

16. Samuel (3) Fitch, b. March 4, 1673-4, was son of Samuel (2). In addition to the estate of his father, he received from his maternal grandfather, Job Lane, one-fourth of the Winthrop farm, upon which he settled at the time of his marriage. (See Hazen's Billerica,[6] and Brown's Bedford.[7]) This farm was in Billerica, and in the incorporation of Bedford, 1729, it was included in the new town. His children were born in Billerica, but those who remained upon the paternal acres were residents of Bedford. He was a soldier in the Indian War, 1706; and many of his sons and grandsons were soldiers in the French and Indian War or in the Revolution. He was town clerk and selectman, and through life an intelligent useful citizen. He m. March 20, 1695, Elizabeth Walker, b. Feb. 13, 1677-8, dau. of Joseph and Sarah (Wyman) Walker of Billerica. She d. Nov. 26, 1716. Seven of her eight children survived her. He m. second, 1717, Eunice Taylor, b. in Concord, Dec. 22, 1678, dau. of John and Eunice (Wooley) Taylor. He d. April 4, 1742. The widow Eunice d. Aug. 27, 1767.

Sarah, b. May 4, 1698; m. Richard Hixson. Samuel, (4) b. Feb. 14, 1699; m. 1732, Joanna Kidder, settled in Westford, d. Jan. 1775. h Joseph, (4) b. Oct. 22, 1702. h Benjamin, (4) b. July 30, 1703. John, (4) b. Feb. 12, 1707-8, settled in Lunnenburg, 1728, and doubtless the one for whom Fitchburg was named. h Jeremiah, (4) b. (?). h Zachariah, (4) b. Feb. 13, 1712. By 2d wife, Elizabeth, b. Sept. 22, 1718, m. Joseph Mead. For the homestead of Samuel Fitch(3) see Brookside. His will dated Nov. 13, 1741, gives wife Eunice west end of dwelling house and cellar, and corn, rye, beef, pork and necessaries, to be provided by son Jeremiah, who was to have all at his mother's decease, excepting legacies to other ch.
