(Now found baptism record in Ancestry). There is no William Wall baptised in Rangeworthy at the date stated above. In fact there are no Walls present in the register at Rangeworthy in any entry from 1742 to 1747. However, there are two boys baptised at Iron Acton on 20 Feb 1746: William Wall (born 1738)[5] and Charles Wall (born 1739)[6]. Both boys are recorded as the sons of John Wall; their mother's name is not noted. There is no Nehemiah Wall (William's putative father) recorded anywhere in Gloucestershire at this time. If this is our William Wall then he is some eight years older than recorded above.
