James, It appears that we are 3rd cousins 1x removed. MRCA would be Isom Denton. Are you not interested in uploading your DNA results to GEDmatch. It would be nice to see where we match. If you have done so would you be willing to share your GEDmatch Kit number? Mine is T539789.

James and Debra are third cousins once removed James Wall [III] and Debra Leslie are both descendants of Isom Denton (abt.1808-abt.1888).

1. James is the son of Ruth (Patterson) Wall [unknown confidence] 2. Ruth is the daughter of Vernia William (Patterson) Buchanan (1887-1957) [unknown confidence] 3. Vernia is the son of Mary Angeline (Denton) Patterson (1864-1944) [unknown confidence] 4. Mary is the daughter of Isom Denton (abt.1808-abt.1888) [unknown confidence] This makes Isom the second great grandfather of James.

1. Debra is the daughter of Milton Leslie DNA confirmed 2. Milton is the son of Harry Moberry Leslie (1892-1966) [unknown confidence] 3. Harry is the son of Nancy Caroline (Barkley) Leslie (1858-1937) [unknown confidence] 4. Nancy is the daughter of Barbara (Denton) Barkely (1827-1907) [unknown confidence] 5. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. We are building one Collaborative Tree with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add, please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Also, be sure to include a list of the sources used, on each profile you add.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help Index or the G2G forum . Also our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, Patt

I agree with Wikitree's mission, and will abide by the rules.

I became interested in family history after having a heart attack in 1981. I come from a fractured family. My two grandmothers died before I was born. Dad was estranged from his father, and I never met him. Mom's Dad remarried to her wicked stepmother. We visited them in 1937-- our baggage was by the front door the next morning. I never saw grandfather again, although he lived another twenty years. So, I had a lot to learn. Mom's half sister gave me information, a start on learning on maternal family. Dad's first cousin gave me much info on his family. I have made much progress.

I am willing to share information and help others in searching their family history. I am optimistic that others will help me, too.
