P.S. I noticed you have a GEDCOM badge. WikiTree Help pages give lots of information about the process; a good starting place is Before you import a GEDCOM. And here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process, including screenshots, that you might find helpful. Cheers, Liz

Welcome James!

I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), you’ll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, click my name and check out the "Greeter" section-especially the Sources links and the link to my fellow greeter Debby, who has helpful information on her profile page also.

If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in WikiTree Help or How to Use WikiTree, you can post to G2G or give me a holler.

Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Enjoy!

I have been researching my families who ended up in Southern Indiana since 1981, after I had a heart attack. They arrived in America in New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware?, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Known places of origin are Germany, Ireland and England. I have two ancestors named Bolin Usery (there are many variant spellings). There are at least two other persons of that name-- it seems logical to me that these folks are related. Same with my Isom Gwin/Isham Guinn and Isum Gwin in Indiana. I have both Catholic and Protestant ancestors, and clergy in both families. Recently, with help from a genealogist in Maryland, I have made advances concerning my Strange, Medley and Meakins families. I will assist others with information and guidance.
