Cass City Chronicle – 13MAY1921 – page 5. Mrs. Elwood Biddle passed away May 3 at her home near Novesta after an illness of several months. The funeral was held at the F.W.B. church, Rev. Wilterton officiating. Interment was made in Novesta cemetery. She leaves a husband and family of three sons and three daughters besides a host of friends and neighbors who mourn her loss.

Cass City Chronicle – 13MAY1921 – page 12. Lillian Jane Wallace was born Oct. 1, 1865, in Saline, Mich., and departed this life May 3, 1921. She spent her girlhood days in and around Saline and on Jan. 14, 1885, she was united in marriage to Elwood Biddle. The first six years of their married life was spent in Saline; the remainder was spent in Sanilac county. In 1895 she was converted and joined the F. W. B. church, Novesta, of which she was a faithful and constant worker until failing health deprived her of the church privileges, She was a cheerful sufferer and bore her afflictions without a murmur. She was a loving companion and a dutiful mother. To this union was born seven children one dying in infancy. She is survived by husband and six children, Mrs. Ben Wentworth of Novesta, Leigh, Martha, Harold, Iva, and Lyle, all at home; also five grandchildren and three sisters. Misses Wealthy and Lottie Wallace of Saline and Mrs. Geo. McKim of Lansing. Funeral services were held at the F.W.B. church, Novesta, and conducted by Rev. Willerton. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Miss Lottie Wallace of Saline, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McKim of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Biddle, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Biddle and family and Mr. and Mrs. Herman White, all of Caro, Mrs. Floyd Hiser and daughter of Saginaw.
