Biography

William Charles Wallace was born on 18 January 1820 in Madison County, Tennessee. He was the son of Francis C. Wallace and Mary Hammon. William was the brother of: Delinda Wallace-Rogers, Richard H. Wallace, Rachel Wallace-Crain, Susannah Wallace-Rogers, Cynthia Wallace-Bittick, Sarah Jane Wallace, James A. Wallace and Eliza Ann Wallace-Hawkins.

William married Sarah Anne Ridenhour on 2 May 1839 in Gasconade County, Missouri.[1][2]

  2. Julia Ann Wallace Baxter (1842 - 1919)
  3. Melciena Wallace Atkins (1845 - 1903)
  4. Barnard Francis "Barney" Wallace (1848 - 1927)
  5. James Riley Wallace (1850 - 1923)
  6. Sarah E Wallace Sewell (1852 - 1925)
  7. William C. Wallace (1856 - 1864)
  8. John Garrett Wallace (1859 - 1931)
  9. Charles David Wallace (1863 - 1904)

In July 1860, William, Sarah and their children were living in Jefferson Township of Osage County, Missouri. William was a farmer who owned $1,000 in real estate and $420 in personal property.[3]

After 1888, William married Laura Ann Winston.

Death

William passed away on 3 April 1893 [4] in Gasconade County, Missouri. He was buried at Travis Cemetery in Belle, Maries County, Missouri.
