Biography

William M was the son of McDonald Wallace and Julia Hendley, but he was raised by his uncle John Wallace who was also named the administrator of the estate McDonald Wallace. John had no children of his own, so he bequeathed his entire estate to his nephew William M. Wallace. Wiliam never married.

Funeral services for William M. Wallace, 82, farmer of the 13th District of Putnam County, were held Monday morning at 10:30 in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with the Rev. S.D. Organ officiating. Burial was in the Cookeville City Cemetery.

Mr. Wallace died in Cookeville Hospital Saturday night after a long illness. He was the son of the late McDonald Wallace and Julia Ann Henley.

He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Matilda Anderson of Silver Point and a number of nieces and nephews.
