Susan Kaye (Wallace) Odenborg

Biography

Susan Kaye Odenborg of Moscow died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at her home in Moscow. She was 59.

Sue was born on Aug. 24, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert and Novella Wallace. She graduated high school in Dora, Mo., in 1971 and later attended Southwest Missouri State University. On June 11, 1972, Sue married Dale Romans in Dora. The marriage later ended. Sue later met Alan Odenborg, and they married on Nov. 2, 1991, in Moscow. Sue worked at the Student Advising and Learning Center at Washington State University for 22 years until January of this year.

Sue loved music and was always good at music trivia. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and watching cooking shows, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband, Alan, at the family home in Moscow; son, Josh (Brenda) Romans of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; daughter, Vicki Romans of Moscow; stepson, Ross Odenborg of Moscow; grandchildren, Kayla, Tristan and Ashley Romans of Coeur d'Alene, and Alexander and Samantha Jeffries of Moscow; brothers, Charlie, Tom and Rick Wallace all of Billings, Mo. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Brenda Bucholtz.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow with Pastor Gordon Braun presiding. A reception will follow 2-4 p.m. in the University Room at the Best Western.

As Sue was a breast cancer survivor and proud of it, in lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial be made to the Gina Quesenberry Foundation at PO Box 506, Lewiston, ID 83501
