Biography

WILLIAM1 WALLACE of the parish of Riccarton, Ayrshire, Scotland, who was born probably by the 1740s. The names of his parents are unknown. He married in the nearby parish of Dreghorn 17 January 1770,[6] ANN WHYTE, a resident of Dreghorn. Nothing further is known about them. None of the sasines for Riccarton that have been examined appear to relate to him, he has no surviving gravestone in the churchyard, and neither he nor his wife left a will.
