Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Decatur County, Iowa
Sarah Caroline Wallace Beck was born Sept. 27, 1865, Milford, Illinois, and died July 22, 1933 at Leon. She was the daughter of William and Anna Wallace.
When she was nine years old the family moved to a farm about three miles east of Leon and she has made her home near this vicinity ever since.
On September 10, 1891 she was united in marriage to E. E. Beck (Edward Ellsworth Beck, WPA record). Mrs Beck is survived by her husband E. E. Beck, her daughter Mrs. P. E. Brady, three granddaughters, two nephews, Francis and Truman Wallace, who have made their home with her since childhood and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cesier and Miss Ida Wallace of Leon.
She convessed Christ during the sunday meetings held in Leon and joined the Methodist church.
Funeral services were held at the Stewart Funeral Home Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Rayhill, pastor of the M. E. church. Burial was in the Leon cemetery.
