On October 3, 1850 he was living with his parents and nine siblings in Fox, Pickaway County, Ohio, United States.[1]
On the 18 Jun 1860 census of Benton, Adair County, Missouri, he probably was a farm laborer on the Ely farm. This is speculation. Six of his siblings live together nearby.[2]
