Byrnina Marjorie Wilhoite died March 7, 2007, of cancer and Alzheimer's disease at age 84.

Byrnina Wallis was born May 12, 1922, in Knapp, Wis. She moved to Waldport in 1980 and to Portland in 2001. In 1941 she married William; he died in 1995.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Mendenhall and Ruth Cotugno; son, Kenneth; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Remembrances to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Oregon Cremation.

Her ashes are scattered in the forest near the Willamette River.
