Survivors include widow Blondal Heath whom he married in 1922 in Mt. Vernon (does not say if this was Mt. Vernon Illinois which is most likely or Mt. Vernon Virginia). Surviving children include 4 sons: William, Robert, Charles and Gilbert, Jr. all living at home and one daughter, Shirley Ann also at home. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
