Biography

Thomas was born in 1871. His death was registered in North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1943. His parents are Patrick Walsh and Mary Murphy. He was President of the Federated Seamen's Union of Australasia [1] [2]

Tom died in 1943, survived by the three daughters of his first marriage, and by a son and three daughters of his second. He was buried in the Unitarian section of Northern Suburbs cemetery, now Macquarie Park Cemetery, North Ryde.

Margaret O'Heire, daughter of Hannah and John, was born at Majors Creek in 1872. In 1899 she married Thomas Walsh at Cairns, in North Queensland. Thomas was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1871, the son of Patrick and Mary Walsh. Margaret and Thomas had three children, Hannah, Bessie and Sarah, born in Sydney between 1903 and 1907. Margaret died in 1915 and is buried in Waverley Cemetery. Thomas died in Sydney in 1943. [3]
