Biography

Occupation Edward worked in the woods all his life at lumber camps. Even in his 70's he was being hired for this purpose. he was a farmer to feed his family and a lumber jack to pay the bills.

Bought Land 1903 • Rainey Lake District Edward bought 193 acres of forest land. and Moved there in 1910. after a log cabin was built and the land had been cleared for farming.

Edward was engaged to Anna Moore his Housekeeper Edward was often took her to orchard Hill a farming settlement about 10 miles northeast of Alpena Mi. to visit her Parents Anna had a friend Name Rose Rouleau. Rose thought Edward was a real Ladies man because he would take off or put on Anna's galoshes for her. Something she never saw a man do before. and she would giggle about it. Edward never got to marry Anna She died of diphtheria in 1904. Edward was away at the lumber camp when Anna died . when he came home he made A pine box coffin buried her at Indian cemetery he did this himself because the undertaker wouldn't because of the diphtheria. After the Death of Anna Edward hired Anna giggle friend Rose is his new housekeeper. A Year later Edward Married Rose.

Married 6 Nov. 1905 • Alpena, Alpena, Michigan, USA Edward and Rose got married in St. Anne's Catholic Church on a Monday

Edward and Rose Had 12 Children 8 Boys and 4 Girls

First car 1926 A 1922 open top Chevrolet touring car they payed $90.00 for it. the Family picked huckleberries to earn the money to pay for it.

House burned down 2 Nov. 1928 everthing in the house burned except for a wooden rolling pin. which one of the kids was holding. the last 9 children were born in that log cabin. cause of the fire was never known.

Death 8 April 1969 • Rogers City , Millersburg MI Died of a Heart Failure
