George Walter was born 28 Sep 1796 at Cortland, New York.
He married 25 Feb 1817 @ Cortland, New York, Mary Alvord. They had one child:
- Louisa Mary Walter, b. 10 Sep 1818; married 25 Feb 1847 John F. Dodge; d. 28 Jan 1902 @ Hamilton, Missouri
Per the Alvord genealogy, In the fall of 1818 George Walter moved to Allegany Co., N. Y. ; in 1836 to Ray Co., Mo. ; thence to Caldwell Co., where he settled on a farm in Mirabile township.
George Walter died 25 Feb 1856 @ Mirabile, Missouri.
