Biography

When Anna Walter was born on October 30, 1779, in Clapham, Surrey, England, her father, John, was 41, and her mother, Frances, was 40. She married Alexander Brodie on May 31, 1802. They had 12 children in 20 years. She died on October 6, 1864, in Eastbourne, Sussex, England, having lived a long life of 84 years.[1]

There is a memorial inscription for Anna and her husband in St Mary's, Eastbourne, Sussex. This says she died on 6 October 1864, age 85.[2]
