Biography
No baptismal record discovered. Evidence of birth place is taken from census returns. Married firstly Eliza Ann Stile at Staplehurst on 15 August 1831 and secondly Mary Ann Moren in 1855. Buried at Marden 6 February 1879.
Nathaniel and Eliza had at least nine children. They were: Eliza Ann 1832 - 1856, George 1835 - 1869, John William 1836 - 1851, Ann Martha, 1837 - 1838, Alfred 1839 - 1899, Ellen 1840 - 1864, William Henry 1843 - ?, Mary Ann (Cox) 1844 - 1871, Frederick 1851 - 1852.
