One Jacob Walter came from Europe about the middle of the last century and settled in Snyder County. From him descended hundreds most of whom are now living near the spot where Jacob originally settled about two miles from Middleburg, Pa. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jacob by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jacob:

It is extremely unlikely he would have both been born in Germany in 1728/1729 and had a father who immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1727.

I don't have any immigration date for Walter-1179 in my records, and I don't see one on WikiTree. Where are you finding a 1727 immigration date?
Walter-1178 and Walter-2742 appear to represent the same person because: Same person except for a year difference in birth date.
