KNOW all men by these presents, That we Moses Revells
and Lewis Johnston
are held and firmly bound unto James P. Preston Esq. Governor of Virginia, In the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, to the said Governor or his successors, we bind ourselves, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators jointly or severally, firm by those presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 9th day of April 1818.
The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas there is a Marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Moses Revells
and Rebecca Walter
of Fauquier county; Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
