Jacob Walter was the son of John and Catharine Walter. He married Mary McCormick when he was 23.[1]
In 1901 they were farming in Wellesley Township and had six children.[2] In 1911, Jacob sold the Wellesley farm, [3] and were farming the east half of Lot 8 in Concession 2 in Peel Township.[4] Three years later, Mary and Jacob took over Mary's family farm from her brother James.[5] Their son Edward took over that farm in 1919.[6]
Jacob and Mary were back on a farm in Wellesley Township with three of their children in 1921.[7]
Jacob died at age 92. He is buried with his wife and daughter Florence in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Macton, Ontario.[8]
