Biography

Blanche was the daughter of Sir John Warburton[1] [2][3][4][5] and his wife, Jane Stanley.[2][3] Her birth date is uncertain.

On 20 April, 1519, Peter Warburton, son and heir of Sir John Warburton, Sheriff of Cheshire, granted to his father, Sir John, all manors, lands, tenements, and rents in Cheshire or elsewhere possessed or seised in the right of Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Winnington, for the preferment and advancement of Peter's sisters, Blanche, Ellen, and Dowce, except for the manor of Marthall.[1]

Marriage

Blanche married twice. Her first husband was William Davenport, esq.[2][3] of Bramhall (bur. Stopforde church).[4] She remarried to Christopher Eyre of Highlow.[5]

Davenport

Blanche only had children with her first husband,[5] William Davenport of Bramhall, esq. His will is undated.[4][6]circa 1520[7]

Eyre

Blanche survived Davenport and remarried to Christopher Eyre of Highlow in Hassop, co. Derby (living 1556/8). They had no children.[5]
