DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:

Decided to take this offline to reformat, reinvestigate sources originally listed, and make a readable bio. May take a while. Jump in and help if interested. I work well with others. Please let me know because I am putting some effort into this profile.

I see your message from last December in the profile. Are you still working this profile? I would like to edit the bio to include the fact that descendants of this family are eligible to join the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, based on his Patriot records: https://services.dar.org/public/dar_research/search_adb/?action=full&p_id=A120459

I am researching the records for his granddaughter, Penelope (Ward) Pope and performing cleanup after a merge for her Ward-18249

I am working to add sources and make this profile more readable. There is a lot of good information, however, it needs someone to consolidate and clean it up.

I am not sure what to do with this information: Event: YDNA Descendant Brian Gregory Ward is a 67 marker 1 genetic distance with Chandler May and Charles Allen Godfrey. Reference Number: 1291

I would like it to be a reference, but I am not sure how to format or actually reference it.

Any pointers will help.

Thanks,

Kim

Removed [email address removed]. I will work on this bio in the next few weeks and add his written will 3 pages.

Ward-20243 and Ward-4797 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same wife and dates.

Ward-19926 and Ward-4797 appear to represent the same person because: Clear Duplicate

Exact dates, same spouse and child

Hi Barbara & Larry

As you may have noticed, a couple days ago I initiated a merge between Ward-14250 & Ward-4797. It looked very straight forward at that time. However today I came across a 1788 Will for a "Benjamin Ward" - the question is... Is he same person as Ward-4797? If they aren't the same man, and this will belongs to someone else, then daughter Mary does not belong to Ward-4797 as she is named in the will.

I hope we can figure this out. I have DNA connection to one of the individuals with their DNA listed on Benjamin's page so there is a possibility that I have connections to the Ward family.

Ward-14250 and Ward-4797 appear to represent the same person because: same name; same spouse
Ward-12613 and Ward-4797 appear to represent the same person because: text for one has wife of the other, but mother needs to be resolved. Please work on these folks - the merge was postponed more than a year ago. Thanks!

Ward-12613 and Ward-4797 are not ready to be merged because: I have wife of Richard Ward b 29 Oct 1692 in VA as Frances Worsham, b 14 Sep 1700, Henrico Co., VA, daughter of Charles and Mary Bevill Worsham
posted by Barbara Baker
Ward-12613 and Ward-4797 appear to represent the same person because: the death dates do not match, but text reveals these profiles are intended to represent the same person. Please merge if you agree. Thanks!
