Ann Ward was born about 1745, location not known, but it could have been Southwark, Surrey, where she was married. On 28th May 1769, she married Alexander Bennett, of Gravesend, Kent, at St Saviour's church, Southwark, Surrey. [1]
Between 1770 and 1781, Alexander and Ann had six children, all baptised at St Peter and St Paul's church, Milton, Gravesend.
Ann died in Gravesend in Jun 1825, at her home in West Street, Gravesend, and was buried at St George's church on 11 Jun 1825, the register stating that she was 80 years old. [2][3]
Her will, dated 14 April 1825, and proven on 2nd July of that year, leaves all her goods to her son William Bennett and her daughter Mary Bennett, who she names as her joint executors. [4]
