Biography

  • Death date is AFTER April 10 1800, as she was alive at the time her husband wrote his will.

Husband's will discribes her:

I give and bequeath to my son Gabriel Hancock land whereon I now live to him and his heirs forever, reserving the house and the front of the plantation down to the branch that divides it from the lower field to use of his mother during her natural life also my will is that his mother have the use of all my personal estate of every kind during her natural life and at her death the one half thereof to be equally divided between my son Enoch W. Hancock and my daughter Magdalene Hancock and the other half to be given at her discretion [illegible] children and grandchildren as she shall think right. Also I give my land on Core banks in Carteright County to be equally divided amongst my children namely Dorothy, Enoch, Zebedee, Gabriel, Magdalene and my Grandchildren William and Thaddeus his brother to them and their heirs for ever and I appoint my sons Zebadee and Gabriel Hancock executors to this my last will and testament revoking all other former wills or wills in testimony where of I have here let my hand and seal this 10th day of April 1800 in presence of Benj Ward and Enoch Hancock.
