Esther died in childbirth on February 26, 1726, in Newton, Massachusetts.[5][6] Her son, Edward, was born and died on the same day. Esther may be buried in Newton Cemetery in Newton, Massachusetts.[7]

Newton vital records spell her last name as "Richison".[6]
