SUSAN WARD: The following entry from an old diary was sent to Miss Martha Heinemann of Memphis, TN (?) by Dexter Dixon of Letcher County, KY; "Susanah Wells deceased March the 18th day 1861, wife of William Wells who preached the gospel for many years, Old Baptist."
Research Notes: There are at least three likely people who could be her. One mention was in a newspaper article mentioning Susan and her husband. Most clues point to Virginia as a birthplace for this Susan. Any help is welcome.

There are several Susanna's one from Virginia, one in North Carolina, one in South Carolina and others. It is quite possible that she is related to the others. Please provide primary documentation that proves this the correct Susanna. I even question William A Wells lineage. I researched your line and was amazed by the untrue stories out there of James Ward and the Wells are worse. I've had DNA testing and a few other relatives took it too. The stories that are handed down aren't always true.
Susannah (Ward-2544) Wells should not have been removed as daughter of Ward-3427. I have 24 DNA matches to her descendants. They are not big matches, but normal for that many generations. My direct DNA line is to James Jordan Ward-3501, her brother.
