Sorry I forgot to mention one other thing I found. In the marriage record for John Rykman and Eunice Ward, the place of birth for that Eunice is listed as "New York." This would raise further questions regarding whether she was the Eunice born in Connecticut.

Eunice Ward who was married to Johannes Ryckman has been removed as a daughter of William Ward and Eunice Miller. No parents for her are listed at this time until more research can be done.
Following up on my previous comment:

I've looked at the source included in this profile, and also conducted my own research, and I haven't been able to find anything to indicate that the Eunice Ward who was born to William Ward and Eunice Miller is the same Eunice Ward that married John Rykman. And I've been able to confirm that there was definitely another Eunice Ward (the one who married Jabez Miller) who was living in Connecticut and having children at the same time the Eunice Ward who married John Rykman would have been having children. So we know there are two Eunice Wards, the question is which of these (if either) was the daughter of William Ward and Eunice Miller.

It seems to me, based on the present evidence, that the Eunice Ward who married Jabez Miller in Connecticut is more likely to have been the daughter of William Ward and Eunice Miller given the relationship between the Ward and Miller families and the fact that Jabez and Eunice married in the same town that Eunice Ward was born in. I don't have definitive evidence either way, but in the absence of evidence to the contrary it at least raises questions about the parentage of the Eunice Ward who married John Rykman.

Unless there's more information that can be cited in this profile, I would suggest that the parents for this Eunice be changed to "uncertain" until the identities of the two Eunice Wards can be properly sorted out.

Hello!

I'm wondering whether there are any other sources/any other reason for linking the Eunice Ward born in Connecticut in 1733 to the "Juna Waart" who married John Rykman? And also whether there is any possibility that she had another husband as well? Or if there is any possibility that the Eunice born in Connecticut might be a different person than the Eunice that married Johannes Ryckman?

I ask because I recently found two records (Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection) "Middletown Vital Records" and Bailey, Frederic W., "Early Connecticut Marriages as Found on Ancient Church Records prior to 1800". New Haven, CT, USA: Bureau of American Ancestry, 1896-1906.) which show a Eunice Ward marrying a Jabez Miller (who would have been a distant cousin of this Eunice Ward) in 1754 in Middletown Connecticut and I've also found baptism records for two sons (William and Seth) born to Jabez and Eunice in Middletown. I haven't been able to identify any other Eunice Ward, besides the one of this profile, who was living in Connecticut and was the correct age.

Does anyone have any information that might help me work out the identity of the Eunice that married Jabez Miller?
