Note: WHITEVILLE - Ruth Ward Fore, 78 of Whiteville, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at the Guardian Care of Rocky Mount. She was the daughter of the late Seymour Ward and Rachel Sellers and was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Fore. Mrs. Fore was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whiteville, and worked as a nurse with the Columbus County Hospital for over 20 years. She also graduated from the James Walker School of Nursing in 1947.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Fore Parker and husband Charles of Rocky Mount, N.C., Vickie Fore of Wilmington., N.C., sister, Josephine Herring of St. Petersburg, Fl.; brother, Leamon Tuton of Whiteville, N.C.; granddaughters, Rachel Parker and Mary Lena Parker both of Rocky Mount, N.C.
Services will be Monday, November 24, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Whiteville with Rev. L. Kendell Cameron, Jr. and Rev. Joe Sellers officiating with burial following in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday night at McKenzie Mortuary from 7-9 P.M.
