Thankful married Ebenezer Phelps in Marlborough, Massachusetts on 28 October 1742.[2]
According to The History of the Town of Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Thankful died before Ebenezer's marriage to Lucy Allen in 1753.[3]
Research Notes
In Genealogy of the descendants of Thomas Gleason of Watertown, Mass., 1607-1909 , Thankful Ward is listed as the mother of Ebenezer Phelps' daughter Anna.[4] However, Ebenezer's second marriage to Lucy Allen [Allin] is recorded in the records of Marlborough.[5] Without new documentation showing that Lucy Allen was married to a different Ebenezer Phelps, evidence points to Lucy Allen being the mother of Ebenezer's children.
