Since Seth Warde-91 and Anne UNKNOWN-138295 are from Cambridgeshire and John Warde-90 is from Yorkshire, the chances of this John being son of the listed Seth are very slim a disconnect has been done.

Biography

From the Parish Register of Pontefract West Riding of York, Yorkshire, England[1]

  • 7 Feb 1625/6 Elsabeth w/o John buried (p210)
  • 24 June 1633 Mr. John buried (p226)

Records are listed in order to point out the fact that there are at least two Johns having children during the same time frame. Without other evidence there really is no way to separate the two (or three). Is "Mr." the elder John (who I would guess was married to Elsabeth? What is the relationship between the two John's? More evidence is needed to make any kind of decision.

Although Katherine seems to have survived childhood. The Johns born seem to have died.

John was born about 1570, based on his 1593 marriage. The John Ward/e of Pontefract did not die March 13, 1596 in Cambridgeshire. He's still in Pontefract.

John Ward/e is a very common name. Just because you know someones father is John Ward even in the right time, does not mean he's John in the right place.

Birth date 1570 is a guess, based on marriage in 1593 "1593, Julie the 22 dai John Warde and Isabell Bruster were married." in Pontefract Parish, West Riding of York, Yorkshire, England.[1]

"1594 25 day Katherine ye daughter of John Ward was baptised"[1]

Waiting to hear from another John Ward/e manager so I can get the correct lowest number, before merging.

I've done some preliminary research on the supposed father Seth Ward. See profile Ward-2187. I put my preliminary research there. Seth is from Cambridgeshire, England. He did have a son John, but as Cambridgeshire, England and Yorkshire are a long way from each other, I am quite certain they are two different John Wards. John Ward is a very common name. I would like to disconnect Seth and Anne as a preliminary step to merging the Johns. Ok with everyone?

Hi do you have any kind of source for the Parentage of this John Warde?

I want to merge John Ward and John Warde who are obviously the same person. I doubt that there is a birth or baptismal record that we could prove was theirs. His marriage record is spelled Warde, but daughter’s last name at birth is Ward. I’m leaning towards Warde. Any thoughts?
