Biography

Reuben S. Ward was born on 12 Jan. 1838 at Cazenovia, Madison County, New York, USA.[1][2] He appeared on the census of 10 Sep. 1850 in the household of his parents, Israel Hope Ward and Nancy M. (Dodge) Ward, at Cazenovia, Madison County, New York.[3] He was a farmer when he appeared on the census of 18 July 1860 in the household of his parents at Nelson, Madison County, New York.[4]

He married Annis E. Wilcox, daughter of Asa Wilcox and Harriet (Stevens) Wilcox, on 4 Nov. 1860 at Onondaga Co., New York. [1][2]

He was a farmer when he and Annis appeared on the census of 18 Aug. 1870 at Zumbrota, Goodhue County, Minnesota.[5]

Reuben died on 21 March 1874 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 36 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing.[1] His memorial has photos and links to those of his family.[6]
