Nancy Ward did not have a daughter named Keziah Hughes. She had two daughters, Ka-ti (no surname) and Betsy Ward.

That's correct. This story has appeared in many online trees and there is absolutely no evidence of any connection.

John Hughes, Jr. and Keziah Ward were married before 1786. They were in court together as husband & wife vs. Solomon Cross in Burke, 1783.
