Communication Preferences:
I am interested in communicating with
anyone who shares the same ancestors.
My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
As you've hopefully seen via my comments on other profiles you manage, the Family of Powhatan template is being retired, and the category it generates should only be used on close/more immediate families of Powhatan. It was never intended for use on profiles of living or recently deceased people. Please remove it from your profile. Thank you so much. Jillaine for the Native Americans project.
It's time for a 1776 Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know if you want to continue as a member of the project. We'd like to know:
If you are on the right team or if you'd like to make a change. It's a requirement that every 1776 Project member is a part of one of the project's teams, so if you're not assigned to a team, let us know which team you'd like to join.
What you think the project is doing well, and what changes you'd like to see us make?
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the 1776 Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back.
Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Brian, I am interested in Wiley Harris - my family came from Augusta County, VA - we are Moses all the way through Levi and after his son James we became Harris - James if our direct line - we are so hoping for some help with this - we have two connections to William and one to Peter but somehow we thought Wiley might be the one
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
Hello, it says you created the profile for Ephraim Parham/Parm - he was my 3rd great grandfather! How are you related to him? I see you DNA tested at ancestry, my results should be available at the end of the month
Brian Ward, I have recently found hand written notes of my great grandmother on Johnsons in Tucker County, WV (Black Fork and Dry Fork). As supported by History of Tucker County these Johnsons lived mere miles apart. Some are clearly a direct relation to me. The others are of Rutger Jansen. The question is were they related to each other? I believe I read somewhere that you thought Richard Johnson (b. 1744-1748) was related to Rutger. Id love to discuss this with you further. - Aaron Johnson
Brian and Natalie are 11th cousins through Doors-1. My line includes Custers, so check your relationship to General G.A. Custer.George Armstrong Custer.
We are 7th Cousins through Jacob Castle.
Hi, Cuz!
I've enjoyed reading your "Very Interesting Family Connections." Thanks for all the work you've done.
Sharon
Nice to know we are 5th cousins 1x removed! Some time ago, you had an article posted: The Moores of Barbour County. I have tried to find out where that came from or if there is more info as that is my direct line - Eli Moore is my 4 or 5x great grandfather and my brick wall is his parents.

If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here
Many thanks,
