Note H4Obituary - Mr Kenneth Newton Warner, 56, of 8808 Walter Martz Road, Frederick, died Tuesday, September 20, at his residence after a short battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Sandra Lee Shafer Warner, to whom he was married 30 years.
Born Feb 26, 1938, in Detour, he was a son of Ira N. Warner of Rocky Ridge and Esther M. Grimes Warner who died in Jan 1994.
He was a 1956 graduate of Thurmont High School. Mr Warner was involved in dairy farming all his life. He worked on his parents' farm until 1958 when he went to work for Harvey Werking of Woodsboro from 1958 through 1964. From 1964 through 1983, he was employed by Earl A. Hoffmaster of Woodsboro. Until his illness, he most recently worked for Walter A. and Byron W. Martz.
Mr Warner had recently been accepted as a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Frederick Lodge #371. He enjoyed country music and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
Surviving, in addition to his father and wife, are one son, Robert K. Warner and his wife Linda of Frederick; two grandchildren, Nicholas Lee Johnson and Stephanie Marie Johnson; two sisters, R. Mae Bolin and her husband Edward P. Sr. of Fairfield, PA; and Shirley A. Long and her husband Eugene of Thurmont; three nieces; six nephews; and 11 great-nieces and great nephews.
Mr Warner was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Allen Compton in 1985.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick, from 7 to 9 pm Thursday and Friday. Funeral Services will begin at 2 pm Saturday in the funeral h ome chapel. The Rev. Daniel L. Montague III, pastor of Lewistown United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
Pallbearers were nephews, Edward Bolin Jr., Leroy Bolin, David Bolin, John Bolin, Larry Bolin and Joseph Bolin
