Elizabeth (Warren) Knapp was born in Suffolk, England.

Birth and Baptism

Elizabeth was baptized on 2 July 1629 in Nayland, Suffolk, England.[1] She was the daughter of John Warren and Margaret Abbott.

Immigration

Elizabeth seems to have immigrated with her parents and siblings as part of the Winthrop Fleet, which arrived at Massachusetts Bay in the Summer of 1630.[2][3] The family settled in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her father's surname appears in a provisional list of male passengers from Winthrop's journal.

Marriage

Elizabeth married James Knapp probably before 1655 when their first child was born.[4][5]

Children

Elizabeth and James had at least two children:

  1. Elizabeth Knapp, b. 27 Jul 1655, Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony,[6], m. Samuel Scripture, 11 July 1674, Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony,[7].
  2. James Knapp, b. 26 May 1657, Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony,[8] d. 26 September 1657, Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[9]

Death

Elizabeth's death was recorded on 12 January 1715/6 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [10] [11] [12] [13]
