Biography

Mary Ann and David Pierce Horton were married in 1866, and had 11 children, 5 survived. Pierce abandoned his family abt. 1892. Mary Ann married lee Thomas in 1894. My Dad, Albert Horton, born 1886, learned that his Father was still alive when he was abt. 18 yrs. old. Huey Pierce Long Jr, Alberts 2nd. Cousin, who is the Grandson of William Rochelle Horton and Mary Wingate-Long, seen his Uncle David while "Peddling" and told Albert. Albert went to see for himself, and found it was his Father, but he did not speak to him. My Dad, Albert, told this to me when I was growing up. As a way to hurt his Father he started using the Surname of Lenard, and after several years felt unable to go back to Horton, as everyone in Ark. where he went to in 1932, knew him as Lenard. His children were born with the Lenard name. Only recently after getting the results of my Dna, was I able to actually prove that Dad is a Horton by Birth. Mary Ann lived with her Son, Henry Pierce Horton the last 20 yrs of her life.

Note: I have had my DNA tested, twice; the results shows that I am a Horton, not a Lenard, and I connect to all of the related families... , Census, Letters, Family Trees, Family History. Things that my Dad told me. Family History.

Mary Ann Warren married Pierce Horton in Beinville, La, in 1866. They had 11 children, according to 1900 Census. The last one born in 1890, or 1991. Pierce Horton left his family when my Dad was about 7 years old, in 1893. He went to Rapides Parish, la; he died there in 1908. He had a lot of family members in that area.

Mary Ann Warren, born 1849, Western District, Beiville Parish, Beinville, La. is my Grandmother. I have taken 2 DNA Test, and the results have pointed me in the right direction of being able to research my Ancestors. I have been connected to many Cousins through DNA Testing, and Results. The Information that I will put on my family tree has been researched with Family Surname Profile Dna Studies, as well as many, many Records, and Cousin Connections, that are researching the same family line. We have a lot of Royal ancestors, and good records were kept of these Titled people, and their Descendants. It was important for them to know who would inherit, so extensive records were kept. The DeWarren/Warren family line, and the DeStanley/Stanley Family Line is a good example of excellent record keeping, and really good, in depth research; all based on Dna.
