Hello Alice Luckhardt, just received Stephen E. Haller's book: William Washington:Cavalryman of the Revolution. Interesting to know that he studied to be a preacher. And that he was captured by the British and was in Charleston for a spell. My Rev. William and his son Ephraim were a preacher and captive of the British, respectively. Tommy George Washington, a Surry Counlty VA Washington. My family moved to North Carolina from Surry Co VA. Thanks.
