Will of John WASSON- Lexington, Rockbridge Co VA
I John WASSON of the county of Rockbridge and state of VA do hereby make my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say,
1st I desire that all the personal part of my estate be immediately sold after my decease, and out of the money arising there from all my just debts and funeral expences be paid.
2nd after the payment of my debts and funeral expences (page cut off) a horse worth sixty dollars, good milch cow also a good bed and furniture for the same of the said Ellen WASSON should make choice of the above in preference to her third of my real estate which she is to hold as long as she remains my widow then to return to my children in manner following
3rdly, my daughter Amy/Ann RICHEY, my son James WASSON, my son David WASSON, my son Samuel WASSON, my daughter Esther WILLSON, my son Matthew WASSON, all the rest of my estate both real and personal of what nature or kind what so ever it may be, equally divided among my several children here in before named, which I give to them, their heris, executors, administrators and assigns, forever.My son Thomasson WASSON being in affluiant circumstances, I leave him the sum of two dollars, to him, his heirs, executors administrators forever.
