Biography

Eunice was born in 1715 the daughter of Samuel Waters and Anne (Sterling) Waters^[1][2] Anne Sterling was her mother in the fact Anne Sterling was married to Samuel Waters ^[3] Eunice Waters ... She passed away in 1757. ^[4]Often times in the 1700 women would die in child birth. Her son Simeon is born 19 May 1757 the same year she dies ^[5]Probably died in child birth. Eunice married Amos Owen ^[6][7]Unise (Waters) Owen is mentioned in her father Samuel Waters will ^[8]Unice (Waters) Owen gave birth to Unice Owen ^[9]Unice Owen gave birth to Lydia Owen 1654 and to Simeon Owen born 1657 ^[10][11]Unice Owen lost a child shortly after that child was born in 1755. The child's name Simeon died. However Unice gave birth to another boy in 1757 whose name was also Simeon and that child lived ^[12]

Research Note

We have primary original documents stating that Eunice Waters married Amos Owen in 1735. We have other primary original documents that state the names of Amos and Eunice, Sr. as the father and mother of the siblings of Eunice the daughter or Junior if you will in the same place where her parents married. We have a primary original document stating that Amos Owen is the father of Unice, jr. in 1741 six years after the marriage of Amos and Eunice, Sr. with her mother's name not attached. But apparently an original practice done before 1752 in the colony of Connecticut. In summary this is a confident relationship in genealogical terms between mother, father and daughter not unknown confidence.
