Rebecca Waters, born about 1645, was the daughter of Lawrence Waters and Anne Linton.[1] Anderson states that the Waters family removed from Watertown, Massachusetts to Lancaster, Massachusetts by 1645. No birth record is found for Rebecca, so she may have been born in either Watertown or Lancaster.
Rebecca married on 4 January 1664 in Lancaster to Josiah Whitcomb,[2][3] son of John Whitcomb.[1][4][5] They had children, all born in Lancaster:
Rebecca died in 1726,[4][5] probably in Lancaster. She left a will dated 27 May 1720 and proved 15 April 1726 which names the following family members: son Hezekiah; daughters Rebecca Houghton, Mary Farnsworth, Joannah Joslin, Damaris Wilder, and Abigail White; grandchildren Eunice, Alice and Meriam Willard, daughters of Simon Willard, deceased. She named her son, Hezekiah as executor.[6]
