Biography

John was born in 1877 Gilmer County, Georgia to George Watkins and Julia Bryan. He married Lee Ona (Henslee) Watkins (1883-1968) in 1901 Dade County, Missouri. Immediately after marriage, they moved to Adams County, Washington where John established a homestead. Their 1st two children were born there. About 1905, they sold the homestead and returned to Dade County, Missouri. They had 7 children together. He passed away in 1920 Dade County, Missouri of Spanish Flu. [1]
