I, Joseph Watkins, Sr., in consideration of the age that I have to and the affliction that I have been under for some time past do believe that I am not far from the end of my natural life, I therefore commit my immortal Soul to God who gave it, I also request my Children to inter my Mortal body in the grave in decency as circumstances will admit I think therefore proper to make my last will & testament in which I deem it my duty to dispose of that portion of worldly property that God has been pleased to bless me with. It is my will that my wife Fanney have all the property that I possess during her natural life Namily the land that we now live on also two head of Horses thirteen head of Hogs and six head of Cattle with the household furniture & C & C it is my will and desire that my wife if I should decease first shall have the use & benefit of the aforesaid property during her natural life and at her decease for the land to be equally divided between my two daughters namely Esther, John Fricks' wife & Alcey, G.W. Edmondson's wife and the other property to be disposed of at my Wife's discretion. I also bequeath one dollar to my daughter Jane Demry one dollar to my daugher Cassey Fricks one dollar to my Son Thomas Watkins & one dollar to my Son Henry Watkins also one dollar to my daughter Frances Fricks - I sign this my last will & testament -- May the sixth eighteen hundred & twenty seven

Watkins-3076 and Watkins-1496 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same Joseph Watkins b1750, son of unknown, father of Henry Watkins b1777, grandfather of William Hesket I b1804, etc... FYI - He is newly established as a patriot during the American Revolution with the DAR and the SAR.
