Biography

Thomas Watkins was enumerated at Wylliesburg Post Office, Walton Township, Charlotte County, Virginia for the July 29, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1820-1821 in Virginia and a farmer. He had $6000 in value of real estate and $1000 in value of personal assets as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Susan Watkins, male William Watkins, female Henretta Watkins, male Charles Watkins, male Samuel Watkins, female Mary Watkins and male Lee Watkins.[1]

Thomas G Watkins was enumerated as self at Walton, Charlotte County, Virginia for the June 14, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as a farmer, born 1821 in Virginia and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Susan Watkins, son Samuel T Watkins, daughter Mary Sue Watkins, son Lee M Watkins and daughter Mildred O Watkins.[2]

Thomas Gilley Watkins is buried at Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery in Keysville, Charlotte County, Virginia, USA.[3]
