Sophia Watkins, the daughter of Major Joseph Watkins and Ann Gray, was born in Anne Arundel County MD 8 November 1799. She died at Obligation Farm, Anne Arundel County MD 11 April 1839, the day after the birth of her ninth child.^[2]
