Biography

Ann was baptised in Carno at St. John the Baptist on February 19, 1832. Her parents were Richard Watkins and Anne (Humphreys). At the time of her baptism the family was living at Ty Hammond and her father worked as a labourer.

Ann remained with her parents for the first two censuses, with the family living at Bryneithin (1841) and Hendre fach (1851). In the 1851 census Anne was in Montgomeryshire, Wales.[1]
