Biography
Richard was the son of Andrew Watkins and wife Elizabeth Combs. He was married to Mahala Turner. He enjoyed discussing current events with family on his front porch. Richard also liked to attend court in Jackson. I was told that he made a profession of faith about twelve years before he died. Once when someone in the area died, Richard took groceries to the bereaved family. He was injured while working on a barn and subsequently died.
