Married ROBERT EDGAR "Ted" HEARD (1892-1959) on 27 Jul 1921, in the Manse, Lincoln, Ontario. He was a Purchasing Agent, CofE, res Port Weller, ONt, born Fenelon Falls, She was 19, CofE, living Port Weller, born Ireland.^[3]

Her marriage document has some inconsistencies, husband's mother's name for example, and a different age. It spells her name as "Junita" rather than "Juanita". Her mother's name is "Kathleen Brauntan" not "Branton". It also gives her age as 19, giving a DOB of 1902. The 1921 Census identifies Peggy Watkins living with her parents in Grantham, Ontario. Mother's name as "Katherine" not "Kathleen", father as James Watkins. Marriage doc. gives the residence of both as Port Weller. ^[4]

Church of England

In addition to sons Ted and Bruce, there was a "Larry", mentioned in both other sons' obituaries. Larry resided at one time in Toronto, and was still alive in 2015.

1968 Voters' List, Notre-Dame-de-Grace, Montreal: Heard, Bruce, salesman; Heard, Rosemary, Mrs. Clerk; Heard, Mrs Juanita, office clerk, residing at 4612 Patricia Ave.^[5]

Her Obituary gives DOD as 19 Jun 1977; burial 22 Jun 19.

HEARD, Peg. Suddenly at the Reddy Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, June 19 1977, Peg Watkins, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Heard, dear mother of Ted, Bruce, and Larry, also survived by her brother Ivor of St. Catharines, Ontario, and by her grandchildren Leslie (Mrs. J Weldon), Lynn and Kim. Funeral from D.A. Collins Chapel, 5610 Sherbrooke Street West, on Wednesday, June 22, at 10 a.m. Thence to Montreal Memorial Park Cemetery.
