Residence Change

Moved from Fannin County, Texas in 1888 to the Miller place 5 miles southwest of Vashti in the Old Union Community, which later became the New Liberty Community. They stayed on the farm the rest of their lives. 15 children were born of this union. Page 358-359

Helping the Community

During the fall of 1919, 3 acres of land was purchased on the northeast corner of W.A. Watkins' place for $150 and a loan of $3,500 at 5% was secured to build a new school, Liberty, consolidating with Union and Pleasant Ridge, to be called New Liberty. -Page 23
